The Involvement Track (18 weeks in Vietnam) involved five Vietnamese American young professionals (college graduates) visiting Vietnam for four months of service on different projects in Vietnam. The fellows worked with different health, environmental and social-services organizations in Vietnam. This track provided fellows with an in-depth, hands-on perspective of the issues facing local community members, as well as allowed them to develop deep relationships with people who will provide them with the stories necessary for the documentation and awareness-raising project once back in the United States.  The following is a list of Involvement Track Fellows and descriptions of tour sites visited:

Ly Thi Ngo / Thanh Tam School of Special Education

Reopened in September 1989 together with a nursery school, Anh DuongSpecial School Thanh Tam, Danang is a children’s health, educational, and residential treatment agency that helps to manage the day-to-day needs of abused, cognitively challenged and/or emotionally disturbed children on the road to recovery and success by connecting them to important health, psychological, psychiatric, educational, medical and financial support.
